Keeps cutting off during driving have taken it to Dealership. It is there now for the fourth time. Dealership say auto theft sensor was the problem they fixed supposedly, but still doing the same thing. Is this a manufacture problem? If so can they be liable for this problem? I am afraid of driving my car I need some answers. I am going back and forth to Ford dealership and car not driving properly, not safe. Sincerely, CdH

My car is a 2006 Mercury Mariner Ford I selected Ford Explorer because no choice was given.

Good afternoon.

When it shuts down, does it restart right away? If not, how long do you have to sit before it will start again?

Did they verify spark and fuel pressure?

How did they come to this conclusion?

If they have performed repairs, I would dispute the invoices you paid and get your money back until they do a proper repair. If they charged you for a diagnostic and they replaced parts based on that and it did not fix it, then you should not be responsible for the repair. It is on them.
