I have a check engine code P0885. TCM power relay control circuit/ open. I have already checked the relay under the hood, and it was not blown. I have purchased part # 95445-39052 which is listed for this code, but I can only see a generic picture of where it is located under the hood. This is the part.

Hi,

I believe the AT relay is located inside the vehicle, behind the dash. If you look at pics 1-3, they explain how to check the relay. Pics 4-5 are the wiring schematic. According to pic 4, the relay is behind the dash. The last pic below is the only one I was able to find for location.

Let me know if this helps.

Joe

I have found it! It is inside the car on the driver's side on the right, (gas pedal side) attached to the floor under the center of the dash. For a visual, it is directly under the radio attached to the floor on the left side of the radio. (Sitting in the driver's seat) If you take off the transmission tunnel left panel you will see it. I hope this helps everyone in the future.
Thanks JACOBANDNICKOLAS.

Hi,

You are very welcome and thanks for the update. I'm glad you found it. Has replacing it resolved the issues?

Also, certainly, your update will help others. Thank you for that.

Take care and if you have a chance, let me know if it has resolved the issues.

Hi Joe,

Yes, that fixed my problem. I got the code from AutoZone, searched the internet, and purchased the part. I tried to find it myself but couldn't, so I towed it to AAMCO where they told me they could help. Then I took the code to 2 different Kia dealerships for them to tell me that the code didn't show in the system. I showed them the part and they used the part number to look up the part location. The parts department showed me a generic location outline of the car and an arrow pointing to the engine compartment driver-side not far away from the firewall. I told him some info suggested that part was in the cab and was told there was No way it was inside the cab. They suggested that the whole computer be replaced for $1700. Frustrated, I continued to search the web and came across this site. After the information you shared, I was determined to find its location. It took almost a month of back-and-forth and failed searches till I located it. This is the part, and the location Kia has for it. Wrong!
