Hi, I have the vehicle listed above AWD.

Last year I noticed it starting to make a rattle/clicking sound when turning my steering wheel or even having my steering wheel turned while in idle. I cannot tell if the sound is getting worse with time or having my struts replaced made it worse.

What could be making this sound?

It mainly happens when turning my wheel whether it’s in reverse, drive or idle. But I have also noticed that sound happens for a few seconds when accelerating from a complete stop.

It sounds like an exhaust leak. What I would do is have someone turn the wheel while you are laying next to the vehicle and put your hand next to the exhaust pipe connections to see if you can feel pulses of air coming out of them.

Also, when you are sitting still can you get the noise to happen in neutral and turning the wheel? If so, can you raise the RPMs slightly to see if the noise gets louder and faster? Basically we need to find out if the noise responds and follows the RPM. if it does then that is an exhaust leak. Also, if the noise seems to go away at higher RPM then that could be an exhaust leak as well.

The reason is it happening more when you turn is because it may be behind a wheel and when you turn the wheel, you can hear it better.

Let's start with this and go from there. Thanks
