Coolant in transmission fluid

I have coolant in transmission fluid? What is going on?

Hi,

The radiator in this vehicle serves two functions. First, it cools the engine coolant to keep the engine cool. Additionally, it functions as a transmission cooler.

Standing at the front of the vehicle, look down along the left side of the radiator. You will see two steel lines attaching to the side tank. Those are the transmission cooler lines. (See pic 1) What likely has happened is the radiator has failed internally allowing coolant to get mixed with the transmission fluid.

At this point, the radiator needs replaced. Additionally, the transmission must be flushed to remove coolant.
