One thing you might try is to ask the service department to show you the, :Service Bulletins" at the dealership.
These are internal memos to help technicians diagnose problematic issues. Sometimes they are called, "Public information Bulletins", as they are open for the public to inspect, but you have to ask for them. You might find them on line at the Transportation
Safety Bureau, but to get them at the dealership puts them in a corner.
It is worth checking if there is a related service bulletin. Between the fact that you have reported it several times is enough to have them drop the fee.
