How to Re-Program a Key Remote?

My key remote buttons don't work. I have to manually lock and unlock my doors. I checked to see if the battery needed to be changed for the key but that was a negative. I think it has something to do with the programming. Please help me figure it out on my own without taking it to a dealer... Thank you.

Doyou have a oriellys auto parts around you?At my oriellys they have a remote tester on the parts counter for testing your remotes.Also Your going to have to have the computer scanned for codes theres trouble codes for keyless entry.

Where can I get the computer scan for the codes? Do I have to go to a dealer?

If you dont live in california you can try a auto parts store to have it scanned for codes.I would also call around and see if any of the auto parts store have a remote tester.
