You could have said if you have the new mast already. The 200 character minimum is to force you to provide some details and information so we don't have to guess. Visit the dealer's parts department and order the replacement. Without knowing what they're going to sell you, I have to refer to my Chrysler experience. There will be a chrome nut on top to unscrew, then you turn on the ignition switch and radio. When the mast goes up, grab it and keep pulling until you pull the flexible cable all the way out. Watch which way the teeth are oriented. Feed the cable for the new mast in the same way as far as it will go, then push down slightly on it as a helper turns off the radio or the ignition switch. Once the cable and mast are pulled all the way in and the motor stops running, reinstall the nut.
GM is not nearly so customer-friendly. They prefer to sell much more expensive assemblies so you may have to buy the entire power antenna assembly. The people in the parts department will tell you what is available.
