My service engine light on my 2006 525xi popped up on the dashboard. I brought my car to the BMW dealer service dept. they told me my thermostat and housing needed to be replaced. I am not real confident in them so i brought my car to a BMW certified garage. They told me that i had a fault code 2ef4, and that a technical service bulletin states that the radiator needs to be replaced and that the software needs to be upgraded. they don't know why the dealer told me that the thermostat and housing needed to be replaced. Not sure what to do.
