My husband left for predeployment training and I left a day before him to fly home for a visit. After sitting for two weeks, I got home and started our '06 325i BMW and it started shaking, almost like it wanted to die. The lights even were getting dimmer and lighter with the shakes. I went and filled it with gas (it was really low on fuel- approx 15 miles left) and got the "heet" stuff that is supposed to help with water in the fuel (my neighbor said he suspected it was the temperature change while I was away, and to try the heet). I started it again the next day and it was still doing the shaking...any ideas on what it is? My husband is still gone and I know NOTHING about cars :)

The E90 cars have some teething problems in their first year of production, has the car recently been to the dealer for a software upgrade? The possibility that there might be water in the fuel could certainly cause these problems, but adding fresh fuel to it and driving it should have made some difference.
