2005 Volvo S60 Message

This message is present, Gear Selector Service Required, This message showed up after our condenser coil was replaced and the dashboard was removed. Also, the gear selector plastic cover is now loose and will not slap back into place for some reason.

If you paid a shop to do this I would be taking it back there for them to fix it for you. Otherwise I would be taking them to small claims court. Your going to need a scan tool to diagnose the problem possible even a expensive professionals scan tool to read codes and data on some of the many computers your car has. If you dont live in California then you can try going by a auto parts store and have them scan the car for codes. Let me know the exact code numbers not code descriptions?

There is no code that comes up, just the message.
It was a local shop we use all the time and very happy with most of the time. They put their scanner on it and no bad messages came up, I was there. I will try another scan I guess at a different shop.
