Hello,

Here is my problem. I recently had my transmission rebuilt and they installed new axles also.

However, now I am hearing an (low speeds)intermittent grinding sound from the right inner axle area where it connects into the transmission.

I was able to pinpoint it to here by jacking up the vehicle and rotating the tire by hand while I am under the vehicle. I can hear it slightly grind in the inner axle area or in the transmission when I hand turn the tire. Is it possible that it could be the inner axle joint or the transmission? I was turning it in neutral so not sure if it could be the transmission because it should be dis-engaged in neutral. Any help would be great

Very hard to say with out actually hearing the noise with this one, I would suggest that you remove the drive shaft first and get that inspected first, do the simple things first.
