Hello,

One of the most common reasons for an engine to go to low power or limp mode is a dirty throttle actuator.
When dirt and debris build up inside the actuator, it is unable to send proper signal to the ECM. That usually triggers the lower power mode.
Many times, restarting the vehicle resets it.
A good first step would be to inspect the throttle actuator and clean it. That can restore the drivability issue.

The EPC light comes on where there is an issue with the vehicle power.

Here is a helpful guide on how to clean the throttle bore:

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
