Previous battery died less than 4months despite regular usage as well as healthy alternator(information from workshop mechanic)

Changed to a new battery that requires maintenance (adding water) few months back. Died on me today without warning. However able to start after resting for 1.5 hours. No warning lights were given and car started normally in the day. Any advice guys? Some help would be appreciated! I do maintain the water level in the battery regularly.

Do I need to change my battery? I'm afraid it'll last another 3-4 months again.

When it doesn't start, does it seem as if the battery is dead? (Slow turning)

With a good battery, it will sometimes partially recover its charge if there is no draw on it, allowing it to work if you let it sit. Double check the alternator. If it is good and the battery is still going dead, check the fusible link. If it's bad, the alt will not be able to recharge the battery regardless of its condition.
