Problems shifting on occasion

I just got a 2005 automatic transmission ford mustang V6, the car's gear is a bit stiff when changing from parking to anything, is that normal, and if when I change to drive or reverse, sometimes it doesn't change directly, and takes a while to change, but that rarely happens, however that only happened like 4 times.
