Trying to get front brake pads off of 2000 ford e250 v8 tritoni already slid the caliper away from rotor looks like there is just a slide holding pads in I dont know how to get the slide off

Just remove the 2 slide bolts and it should lift right off.

Ford switched to torx head bolts maybe that's what threw him off.
