My husband has a 2005 dodge ram, diesel cummins, 6 speed truck. IT has 135,000 miles. He took it and had the oil changed and now has blow back. The oil is blowing from where you put the oil in. Any idea's what may have happened and if so how to fix it?

Have the oil level checked and ensure it is not overfilled.

Check the oil filler cap.

These are the first two things he has done. We knew to do that ourselves. It has alot of BLOW BY! IT IS SMOKING WHERE YOU PUT THE OIL IN. PLEASE, PLEASE GIVE US SOME MORE THINGS TO CHECK OUT OTHER THAN THE OBVIOUS. WE ARE AT A LOSS AND THIS IS HOW WE MAKE OUR LIVING WITH THIS TRUCK. WELDING RIG! THANKS GUYS.

Excessive blowby is from the piston and/or rings and the two common things have been checked to be good.

Was the correct oil specification used?

The next thing you would have to look would be the blowby recirculating system, check for clogged or kinked hoses.
