I just wrote a whole long diatribe about why Chrysler products are better, in my opinion, than other brands. It's probably not appropriate to post it here again but I'm willing to send it to your private e-mail if you wish.
Basically I do not like newer cars because of all of the unnecessary, complicated computers. I drive an extremely reliable 1988 Grand Caravan with just one Engine Computer. Understand that no matter what car you buy, there will be electrical problems and expensive repair bills. I think you will have fewer problems with a PT Cruiser than many other cars, and for sure you'll have a lot fewer problems than with a GM product. GM repairs are very expensive and often must be done by the dealer.
