Electrical problem
2004 Suzuki Swift 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

Did an engine swap on an 2004 suzuki swift with 1.6 l
motor that went in was from an 05 aveo chev. 1.6
motor runs but it is flooding and fowling the plugs, we scaned computer and found that the tps is at 86% all the time, the sinal wire back to the ecm for the tps is 5 volts OUT of the computer. I check the wire right at the ecm and it is 5 volts coming out, we tried a new ecm from the car that we did a swap from but same thing 5 volts out.

Hi hovauto,

Thank you for the donation.

The reading and substitution of the ECM indicates the problem is with the TPS. Either it is bad or has not been inistalled correctly.

Remove the TPS and reinstall and retest. Ensure the TPS is installed correctly onto the shaft.
