Pontiac grand am 2004, I am hearing strange nosies from the from end of my car, but when I turn it smooths out, what do I need to fix?

Well I did get a new bearing, but im still hearing the sound, when I went to go get it checked again I was told to changed out the other side of my bearing, but when I went to get a second opinon, they told me that I had to get a new transmittion, is that true?
