My girlfriend came to me and said her brakes felt funny. After driving it for a second, I saw the brake system light was on. The brake went way too low to the floor and needed to be pushed hard enough to stop. I figured her brake fluid was low, so I checked. Sure enough, the brake fluid and coolant was below the minimum line. Without driving the car again, we refilled both fluids almost all the way to the max lines. The brake system light went off, but the brake is still pushing lower than it originally did. Is there something else wrong with it? If so, what could it be? Does the fluid just need time to set in?

No, you have a leak in the brake system if you can't see the leak the it is leaking into the power booster bypassing the master and needs a new master and booster.

Because it was driven like that air may be in system and in abs unit. Have a pro bleed the brakes so he can open the abs unit valves up with a scanner
