I've already replaced the wheel bearing assembly. And I've checked the brake. So wondering what else it might be? All the front end parts look normal so don't think any of that is binding.

Hi,

When you say it locks up, is there something that causes it to happen? For example, when you apply the brakes? Is it always locked up? Is the 4wd disengaged?

If it happens when you press the brakes and then it won't turn when you release, try this. On the rear of the brake caliper is a bleeder. Open the bleeder and see if the wheel then turns. I attached a pic below showing what I am referring to. Let me know what happens.

If that is not the case, let me know that as well and if this happened all at once, if you noticed a change over time, and what all has been checked to date.

Take care,
Joe

I figured it out. It was the transfer case, but thank you anyway.

The way to figure this out is to remove things one at a time until the wheel spins. So start with the wheel and use a pry bar between the wheel studs and see if you can spin the rotor. Then remove the caliper and do the same thing. Once those are removed I would be shocked if it still does not spin. If not, we need to remove the axle shaft and see if the rotor spins. That will give us more info to go on.

Sorry. I guess I was working on an un-refreshed page as I didn't see any of these other posts.

I thought it would turn out to be the 4WD system. Thanks for the updates.
