2004 Hyundai Getz Car Taken On 600 Km Trip Oil Checked Found Empty Return

The car was taken on 600 km trip and when the oil was checked it was found to be empty. On the return trip the oil was reduced by half. The car is not leaking oil and is not smoking. There is no evidence of oil in the exhaust. Please advice on what the possible cause may be. Many thanks

Oil can be consumed by a number of different way and not always detectable. Have it inspected from below for any leaks. The real question here is, why was it allowed to get that low in the first place. Unless you want to be spending some serious money on a new motor in the near future, you need to be checking the level a little more often.
