Check for a plugged AC condensate drain tube. It's 4" long hanging down on the passenger side of the firewall under the hood. Squeeze it to open up the end, or remove it and stick a pencil in the tube to clear any obstruction. Water should come pouring out.

I have the same sound exactly but I figured out that the problem with the coolant or water level in the radiator.
