When taking off from a complete stop sometimes.

When taking off from a complete stop sometimes it feels like hesitates a couple of seconds before the tranny engages. There has been occasions where when it does engage it feels like it a slight tug before it engages. Will I be needing a new tranny or are there other things that can be done to prevent a rebuild?

Classic symptom of low transmission fluid, you also need to have it inspected for transmission leaks

Check fluid level first then have the trans scanned it may be electrical or it cold be a internal problem but a trans guy will tell you.
