04 BMW five series. The red bobbing coolant gauge snapped and a piece of the plastic gauge fell into the coolant bottle. I went to get a tweezers but when I came back it had gone out of sight. No way I can get it out. Is this a danger to the coolant system?

No, it is not. The part is too big to get out of the coolant bottle and since it floats, it would not get anywhere. If you wait a while, it might float to where it is visible and you can get it out.
