When I press the brake in drive or reverse the car starts to shake when I am on a stop light or on a red light but when I put it in neutral the car stops to shake what could be wrong it is an automatic transmission.

Always scan for codes first (even when the "check engine light" is not on). Check "fuel trim" values with a scan tool (not every scan tool can retrieve them), they will tell you if the engine is running rich or lean.

Cleaning the throttle body and performing a throttle alignment / adaptation, can also solve idle issues.

May also be a vacuum leak at the booster, how are the brakes and any noise when you hold the brake down?
