Oil pressure light and car starting then turning off.

My VW 2003 GLI has recently had the oil pressure light blinking. I checked the dipstick and the oil level was fine. The issue is that my car will turn on for about 1 second then immediatly turn off... What's going on here?

Check the fuel pressure if it's within specs and are the injectors pulsing?

Oil pressure:
Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge,if normal replace the oil pressure switch. If abnormal could mean oil pump and/or engine bearing.
