This car has just had all the spark plugs replaced and an ignition coil replaced to try and fix a cylinder misfire to no avail- the car only has a misfire in cylinder 3. I also cleaned the MAF sensor, and replaces fuel filter. The engine still misfires but I have to drive it for a while. I can feel it coming on (as in the problem might come soon) if I make hard accelerations my service light does not come on. This service light only comes on when it misfires and again I have to drive it a while before it misfires. The misfire is prevented however if I make the hard accelerations at this point. What could this be? Because when I first start driving its perfectly fine and the service light is not on.

Switch the injector from cylinder three with one of the other ones to see if the misfire moves to that other cylinder.
