2003 Mercedes Benz ML320 drivetrain mulfunction

Topped up automatic transmission oil and gear lever cannot be shifted.
Repair topic is drivetrain and pririty is urgent.

Don't have a clue if you're suggesting these things are related, if they started at the same time, what history led up to this, or what you're asking. As a guess, if the shift lever won't come out of park, check for a blown brake light fuse.

It happened about a year ago hen I changed the transmission oil. It took a mechanic somewhere to fix it. Unfortunately, lessons were not learnt from it. This time, I only toppec up the oil so I cid mot think that thi could happen. Give me a clue cause am devastated.

Adding transmission fluid doesn't have anything to do with the shift lever. On most cars as new as yours, you have to press the brake pedal to get the shift lever out of park. The circuit that operates that is part of the brake light circuit. Check that the brake lights are working. If they are not, check the fuse for them.
