Moving from 4th to fifth changes ok stays in while on the over run but jumps out as you accelerate. A little light pressure on the gear lever will hold it in. All other gears work ok so does 5th if you hold it in, no noise or rough feeling at all from gear box.

Check linkage for correct adjustment and no worn parts it may be the synchronizer however for that gear

I have seen worn shift cables cause this problem because it doesn't fully engage 5th gear. Open the hood while the engine is off and the transmission is in 5th gear, grasp the shift level on the transmission to see if you can push it further into gear, if so for sure it is the shift cables.
