I am having issues with my driver side lock/.

I am having issues with my driver side lock/keyless entry and also with the ignition. It started fine for me this am, no hesitation, now at lunch time when I needed it to start I cannot get the ignition to turn and the steering wheel is stiff. Car is in park and I am thinking all my months of wiggling the key into the door lock, has finally paid its toll and now will not let me turn the ignition. Obvious I will have to use my spare key, but does anyone have any suggestions on the drivers door lock and how that problem can be solved? I either go without locking the door or constantly climb through passengers side just to get in the car. Much appreciated
