My 2003 ford galaxy diesel tdi 1.9 makes a creaking sound when steering left of right driving slow. When I pick up speed the noise goes away. I have checked power steering fluid and this is fine. It sounds like sitting in a wooden chair kind of noise. Please help
Thanks

The most likely cause is tight or worn lower ball joints. That is not something to ignore. Have the steering and suspension systems inspected at a tire and alignment shop. They will check all the parts and identify the cause of the noise. Ball joints are a major safety issue that Ford has had a lot of trouble with in the past. Don't ignore the noise.
