When the gauge drops to 0, do you hear any knocking or ticking from the engine? Have you checked the pressure using a mechanical gauge? I ask this because you may just have a bad sending unit. Let me know.

Any noise from the engine? As far as being at a full stop and in gear, that is when it will be its lowest. However, a bad sending unit could be sending a false signal.

A mechanical gauge will connect the same place as the electric one. You have to remove the electric one and screw in the end for the mechanical one.

If you don't hear any knocking or ticking, chances are the sending unit is bad. Let me know what you find and what pressure you get at an idle. As long as it is 10psi or higher, you should be fine.
