i have a over heating problem if i drive car locally temperature stays under halfway but say i go for a long drive under a load going up a hill e.t.c temperature reaches hi I'm thinking thermostat problem but don't know where to locate it

when it does this pull over and shut truck off feel around radiator for cold spots if it has those it needs another radiator. it cold also be air in system or a loose fan belt not turning water pumpfast enough
