2007 Chevy Tahoe Alarm for rt. Rear door ajar keeps going off, even thought he door is shut. The theft deterrent alarm also goes off for no reason at time. Are these two related? How can I fix the problem?

The alarm for the door ajar will go off even while the vehicle is in motion. Have tried jiggling the wires and slamming the door shut - no luck.

The theft deterent alarm goes off for no reason at all, even with nothing or nobody around it

Try replacing the pin switch that senses the door being open.

Also, clean your grounds battery to body, engine to body, etc. And battery terminals. Then try to reset the alarm. You do that by turning key on for up to 10 minutes or until the security light goes out. Then turn off and then start car. See if that helps. Your door ajar alarm may be a body module problem. Also check the ground for the right door. It's in the "B" pillar at bottom (post between front and rear seat).
