2003 BMW X5 MAF sensor Cleaning DIY

My car has been running sluggish and I went to Autozone to check out my engine light. The codes came back stating MAF block or something to that.

I looked online and I am thinking if I clean the MAF sensor it could help. I am just trying to make sure I know exactly where it is.

If I could get some guidance on where the sensor is that would be great!

I think it is on top of the hose that goes into the air filter but want to make sure!

Thanks

Dont guess at this, you could be in a much worse spot if you stumble through a repair and cause trouble that wasn't there before. BMW does not always have a strong indication from a generic OBDII read out. See your BMW service preovider and have the fault professionally determined.

The codes for the engine light according to Autozone are:
p0300
p0174
p1349
p0171
p1343
p1347
p1352
p1344

Any ideas? According to autozone the majority of them are misfire codes in different cyls!

Thanks
