2002 Volkswagen Golf Weird electrical problems

I hit a deer (small one) last month (mostly drivers side quarter panel, and headlight/housing) and while I was waiting for the insurance to come through and an appt with the body shop, my electrical system started going nuts. First, the driver's side door triggered an alert that the door wasn't shut. Then if I tried to turn on the headlights, the alert screamed! Also, interior lights stayed on all the time. When I dropped the car off the night before at the auto body shop, the next morning he couldn't start the car and it went into theft alert. I tried telling the body shop that all my keys had been used by me in the past so it wasn't the key I left.
Can anyone tell me if they think this is all caused by the accident? I have to get the insurance to cover this, but the auto body guys don't really know VWs.
Thanks

Yes. I feel this is the result of the accident. It could have damaged ground straps, there could be a short causing an issue. Since there were no problems before the accident, I feel that is what caused it.

@Jacobandnickolas
Thanks so much.
I have to convince my insurance co. That this is related. But you've confirmed my suspicions.
