Cranks but won't start

Diesel D4D 2002 cranks but won't start, checked fuel pump and it's ok, what can be causing the start problem.

If the pump is okay, then that is good, but we can still have a fuel issue.

We need to start by checking the no start by adding ether to the intake. If the engine fires, then we have a low fuel pressure issue.

I am attaching a guide, but this is a test on how to check gas engine fuel pressure. It is similar on your engine but will be a different gauge because the pressures are higher.

I don't have a manual on this specific engine but if either starts the engine, then we have a pump issue because it is running then all the control and electrical side checks out, but the pump just can't deliver the needed fuel.

If it does not, then you most likely have a compression issue as diesel engines need fuel and compression to run. So, we need to check the compression and here is a guide that will help with this:
