I have a Saturn l200 2002. I'm getting a strong gas smell coming from the back of my car near the gas tank/cap. The smell is getting stronger as the weeks passed. I took it to my mechanic he checked the tank, lines and there is no leaks anywhere. He also took down the tank and nothing. If anybody knows anything please help. Thanks!

The most common place for those to leak fuel is the plastic nipple's right off the fuel pump module that the fuel line's attach too. They crack and leak fuel It's hard to see just by dropping the tank the best way is you have to drop the tank and turn the fuel pump on with everything hooked up.That's how i find them leaking. Also could have a leaking tank or a bad fuel pump module oring seal.He is just going to have to get in there and really look.Sometimes fuel leak aren't easy to find.
