2002 Pontiac Sunfire Power steering pressure hose replacement

I need to replace the power steering pressure hose on my 2002 Pontiac Sunfire. I can see where it connects to the gear box but can not reach it. Do you have any suggestions? Is removing the crossmember an option or necessary? I'd like to avoid a mechanic if possible as my funds are extremely limited right now.
