power steering?

this morning when i started my car i started to drive and the power steering was working for about 25 degrees of rotation either way i checked the fluid while it was running and it looked normal just no movement like if the pump wasnt running i turned the wheel with a higher idle and the power came back any ideas?

You have fluid bypassing inside the rack and pion or a bad power steering pump.You will need a power steering pressure tester kit to tell which it is there pretty reasonable.Otherwise you will just be guessing.

is it possible that it occurred because i didnt let it warm up at normally? it hasnt happened since after i havent drove it for 3 hours

You should have power steering cold or hot if it does it again then your going to have to do a pressure test.
