My car dies at stop lights sometimes

Hi, I have an 02 clk 320. My car idles roughly when I'm in drive and stopped, ex: at a light. What are the possible reasons. Perhaps a bad ignition coil. What else? And also after about 20min of driving I get a red light on the dash

Hi, no I haven't. Thats what I plan to have done soon.
What can I expect as the reason for this besides ignition coil or spark plugs?
