2002 Ford Explorer

Every time I turn the heat on I hear a clicking noise and it blows cold air I googled it and it said remove the glove compartment and I would see a plastic piece clicking but I can't find it what could this be

It sounds like the blend air door. If is responsible for determining if you get heat or cold air in the vehicle. It is located behind the glove box and is part of the HVAC system. If it is stuck, you won't get any heat.
