I just recently replaced the idler but my car will still go from 1000 RPM's to 1500 RPM's but only when i am coasting at 50MPH or higher, when i coast below that it seems normal is there any way you could tell me what could still be going on.

idler?? for the belt???? why?????

is the check engine light on???

if you put it in neutral coasting, is it the same??

I replaced it because it broke and no if it is in neutral it does not do it and the check engin light is on but it has been on before the problem started. Thanks again
