Trouble code 0546

I have a chev S10 4wd 4.3 ltr engine the trouble code is 0546 which is Exhaust gas temperature sensor. The guy at the auto parts place suggested changing the Gas cap which I did to no avail. Where is this sensor and how do I change it?
Would appreciate your advice very much

P0456 is an Evap control system problem-You don't have an EGR temperature sensor-Get the Evap system smoke tested-
