Hi
Got a 2002 Buick LaSabre at a dealer (as is deal)
At the test drive and looking at the car at the dealer and on drive home all was good. Since then it has been parked 2 days and I found a tennis ball size gas smelling spot on my driveway. The spot is under the left rear passenger area (before tire). What could this be and how fast do I need to get it looked at. Tha plan was to leave it for about a month not drive it then put it in the shop to get a tune up.

How fast you get it fixed depends on how much gas you want to waste. That's where the fuel line runs and the filter will be in that area. The leak could be as simple as a loose connection or as serious as a rusty steel line. Regardless, the leak will allow the fuel pressure to drop at which point little additional gas will leak out. You'll lose the most gas while the engine is running because the fuel pump will keep that line pressurized.

It sounds like the leak is pretty slow yet and the fuel is evaporating almost as fast as it leaks out. You can expect to see a bigger spot develop while the engine is running, and it is likely to get worse.
