Hey,

I have this rattle when I'm coming off my clutch in first gear and in reverse when I do not give it any gas, Once I give the engine gas depending on how much and fast, the rattle seems to go away in first and not heard in second or third and so on. The only time I can hear it rattle in 2nd or 3rd is when I am taking turns and slow down to much and start out slow in 2nd or 3rd but as I accelerate the rattle quickly goes away. Any ideas on what this could be?

Take it to a transmission shop and have someone test drive the car with you. During the test drive, make sure you tell them
when you are hearing the noise (to be sure that they hear it as well). Most shops will test drive for free, so that they can get an
idea of what the problem might be.

Since I can't hear the noise, could be anything from a heat shield under the car to a support bearing inside the transmission.

Will it make the noise static or when driving only?
