I picked up a piece of furniture tonight using the silhouette van. After putting the furniture in the van, it was completely in, I closed the rear gate but when I took gear out of park, it started beeping. It continues to beep even after removing the furniture, except when in Park.

Was it hard to close the lift gate with the furniture in the van?Sounds like the latch got of adjustment or the switch was damaged.

No, the furniture was completely in before the door was shut.
Where is the switch located? I could never tell, I will have to wait until daylight to check it out more thoroughly but there is nothing blocking the gate. Thanks for your help.

The switch is part of the liftgate lock assembly below the license plate.I would start by checking that switch.
