i got a 01 nissan xterra back out of the driveway quit,started and drove went to the store and started and quit started and quit,towed home. fuel filter and cleaner ran ,but stalled and quit. drove it today run great. and then started and quit.

start with a fuel pressure check. it may be the fuel pump failing

Maybe the idling speed is too low. Is the MIL indicating and have you checked for trouble codes?
