Well, we can rule out tires and drive line. The most logical cause is a misfire due to worn spark plugs and wires, or a defective ignition coil. Normally you should see the Check Engine light turn on and there will be a diagnostic fault code indicating which cylinder(s) are misfiring.
There can be mechanical causes too from a collapsed engine mount allowing an exhaust pipe to rub on the body and transmit vibrations into the body, or a loose cast ring on the vibration damper. A lot more information is really needed to narrow down the cause.
